At noon the Great Electric Vehicle Car Show opens all around Memorial Park and across the Street is “Going Green ~ Saving Green” Resources, Activities & Displays at the Presbyterian Church Meeting Hall with workshops at the Public Library.
Cazenovia Earth Day 2023 is Saturday on April 22nd. The festivities start in the center of town with work and clean-up projects in the morning. At noon the Great Electric Vehicle Car Show opens all around Memorial Park and across the Street is “Going Green ~ Saving Green” Resources, Activities & Displays at the Presbyterian Church Meeting Hall with workshops at the Public Library.
Twenty-six groups are participating to bring together local residents, students, business owners, farmers, and energy experts to participate in hands-on, fun, and educational programs. This year the focus is on providing the tools and expertise to save energy, lower the carbon footprint, and save money.

Saturday morning, your invited to work with local High School students through Project Café doing general Village Clean Up, spend some time with the last of the Cazenovia College Students Environmental Club doing their Creek Clean Up Project or take part in the Village Tree Commission’s Arbor Day planting of a tree behind the library.
From noon – 4pm the village green at Memorial Park is transformed into a Great Electric Vehicle Show. In the coming years as we all are transitioning to electric cars it is hard to know what are the options. This is a great opportunity now to see the range of vehicles being offered and talking with area people who own them. There are no sales representatives, so no pressure to buy, and you can get honest evaluations as to the owner’s experience. Electric bikes and scooters will also be on display.
The School District is starting planning for transitioning our School Bus Fleet to electric. The Electric Vehicle Show will have an Electric School Bus so that parents, citizens, and students can climb on board, see and learn about them.
On the green a Master Gardener with Madison County Cornel Extension will be planting seeds with children, high school students will be doing art projects and various hands on environmental explorations will be being led.
Across the street, in the Presbyterian Church Meeting Hall, “Going Green ~ Saving Green” is the theme. Local groups such as the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation, United Climate Action Network (UCAN) and the Village Tree Commission will be teaming up with regional and national organizations like US Forestry Service, National Grid, and Heat Smart to provide the tools and expertise to save energy, lower the carbon footprint, and save money. Local groups and initiatives will showcase their projects.
